Small Vertical Packaging Machine Features & Maintenance

Small vertical packaging machine is often used for screws, nuts, nails, and other hardware fasteners packaging, the following are its characteristics.

  • Small floor area: This compact structure, vertical design, and small horizontal floor area are suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with limited space for production workshops. They can be flexibly placed next to the production line, saving space and improving site utilization.
  • Easy to operate: the control system is relatively simple, there is an intuitive operation interface, workers can be skillfully operated by simple training, reducing labor costs and operation difficulties, and easy for SMEs to quickly use.
  • Lower price: Compared with large complex packaging equipment, small vertical packaging machine has relatively single functions, low manufacturing process, and cost, more affordable, in line with the budget of small and medium-sized enterprises, reducing procurement costs.
  • Diverse packaging forms: It can achieve a variety of packaging forms such as three-side sealing, four-side sealing, and back sealing, and can also adjust the packaging size and shape according to demand to meet the diversified packaging needs of small and medium-sized enterprises for different specifications of fasteners.
  • Easy to replace products: simple change adjustment, changing the packaging mold, or adjusting the parameters can adapt to different specifications and shapes of hardware fastener packaging, high production flexibility, and can quickly respond to changes in market demand.
  • Modular design: mainly to complete the basic packaging functions such as forming, filling, and sealing, other functions labeling, inkjet, and nitrogen filling can be optional.

For Vertical FFS Machine in high-frequency use, mechanical maintenance is crucial, the following are some specific methods:

Routine maintenance

  • Clean the fuselage: After each use, wipe the fuselage with a clean, soft cloth to remove dust, debris, and residual packaging materials, preventing them from entering the machine’s interior and affecting its operation.
  • Check the parts: check whether the connection of each part is loose, such as screws and nuts are loose, and whether the drive belt is tightened, and adjust or replace the problem in time.
  • Lubrication key parts: for bearings, chains, gears, and other moving parts, regularly apply the appropriate amount of lubricating oil to reduce friction and ensure smooth operation.

Scheduled maintenance

  • Clean the sensor: clean the photoelectric sensor and proximity sensor with a soft brush or compressed air every week or two to ensure its detection accuracy and avoid misoperation caused by dust and other debris.
  • Check wearing parts: every 1-2 months, focus on checking the wear of cutting tools, sealing parts, conveyor belts, and other wearing parts. If there is wear, replace it in time to ensure the quality of packaging and the normal operation of equipment.
  • Calibrate the measuring device: Calibrate the measuring device every 2-3 months according to the frequency of use to ensure the accuracy of the package weight or quantity.
  • Electrical system maintenance: every 3-6 months, check whether the electrical line is aging and damaged, whether the terminal is loose, clean the dust in the electrical control cabinet, and prevent electrical faults such as short circuits.

Deep maintenance

  • Comprehensive maintenance: Every year or after a certain period of operation, the equipment is fully maintained, including the removal of important parts for cleaning, lubrication, and inspection, and the correction of mechanical structure to ensure that the overall performance of the equipment is good.
  • Replace aging parts: Replace aging rubber parts, plastic parts, and electronic components in batches based on device usage to prevent faults and extend the service life of the device.

In addition, you need to create a detailed maintenance record file to record the time, content, and replacement parts of each maintenance to better understand the running status of the device and provide a reference for subsequent maintenance.
