Packaging Solutions For Large Size Bolts, Nuts and Railway Fasteners
In rail transit, bridge engineering, heavy equipment manufacturing and other fields, M16-M27 large specification bolts, nuts and railway special fasteners as key connectors, their packaging and transportation needs to meet the dual needs of high-strength protection and efficient operation. The monomer weight of such products is 0.4-0.7kg, the length is 20cm, and the traditional manual packaging has three major pain points: low efficiency (per capita daily packaging amount is less than 1 ton), high breakage rate (thread damage caused by transportation collision), and mixed specifications.

To optimize storage, the fasteners should be placed in standardized stackable containers or on pallets. This allows for easy stacking in warehouses, maximizing space utilization. The larger bags (45×87 cm) holding up to 25 kg of fasteners can be organized by type or size in the warehouse, with clear labels indicating the contents. Labels should include not only product specifications, but also barcodes or QR codes for easier tracking and identification in inventory systems.
Standardized packaging process
1. ** Pretreatment stage **
– Ultrasonic cleaning: removal of oil residue from machining (cleanliness according to DIN EN ISO 8502-3)
– VCI gas phase anti-rust treatment: built-in anti-rust paper releases anti-corrosion molecules to meet the needs of Marine anti-rust
2. ** Automated packaging process **
Visual sorting → Quantitative filling (25kg±0.05kg) → hot melt sealing (edge strength ≥80N/15mm) → Laser marking (including product model, batch number, QR code) → Robot palletizing (1.8m height)
3. ** Transportation protection design **
– Four-way fork tray: 1200×1000mm steel-plastic composite tray, stacking load ≥4 tons
– Corner protection system: honeycomb cardboard corner protector +PE wrap film triple reinforcement
If you have an optimized packaging scheme for the larger size bolts and nuts, welcome to contact and discuss.
